This case study evaluates whether Mine A’s long-distance tailings slurry transfer system could meet future hydraulic demands associated with raised TSF elevations and hydrocyclone deposition. A calibrated Flownex steady-state slurry model was used to identify system constraints and define a five-pump upgrade configuration, which was successfully implemented and commissioned in 2025.
